Greetings Adventurers!
Christmas has come to Dragonfire, and with it a rather unwelcome visitor. The Grinch has arrived, and he's not here to spread holiday cheer.
For this event, we've gone back to basics. Our previous holiday events have been fairly elaborate (looking at you, Reaper), but we know not everyone has time to commit to lengthy grinds - especially during the holidays. This time around we've kept things simple: fight the boss, grab some festive loot, and enjoy the double XP.
Let's get into what's new.
This festive fiend can be found in two locations: Castle and near the Oracle on Ice Mountain.

The Castle encounter is located within the Wilderness - you'll have full drop rates, but watch your back for other players. Ice Mountain sits outside the Wilderness, offering a safer fight without the threat of PvP, though drop rates are reduced (0.5x).
A few things worth knowing before you head in:
His drop table includes the full Grinch outfit (head, body and legs), the Red Scarf, Grinch Emblems which can be used at the Christmas tree in Edgeville, and if you're lucky - the Grinch Jr. pet.
You'll find a Christmas tree in Edgeville. Use your Grinch Emblems on it to gradually decorate it - after 25 emblems, you'll receive either a Green Scarf or Blue Scarf at random.
Right-click the tree and select "Check" to see your current progress.
For those looking to speed things up, emblems can be purchased from the shop at a cost of 3 Dragonfire Coins each.
The Nutcracker has sent reinforcements into the Wilderness. Gnomecracker Soldiers will spawn in waves at random locations throughout the wild.
Defeating them gives you a chance at the Nutcracker Staves - available in Bitter, Sweet and Sour variants - as well as additional Grinch Emblems.
You can use the ::nutcracker command to check spawn times and locations.
Throughout the event period (22nd - 26th December), all experience gains will be doubled. Make the most of it!
We hope you enjoy this year's Christmas event. Let us know what you think, and have a lovely holiday.
