Clans, Loot & The Foundation

Hello RSCDynastists! We're happy to finally share everything that's been cooking behind the scenes. This is Part 1 of the full update and serves as a major preparation for what's to come. We've built several new core systems - clan banks, a faction reputation framework, party and raid groups etc... All designed to expand over time. Parties can already be converted to 10-man raids for when raid content drops. The reputation system is built to support multiple factions and could expand into personal character reputation in the future. Think of this update as laying the foundation

Clan Bank

Clans just got a whole lot more powerful! Introducing the Clan Bank - a fully-featured shared storage system for your clan.

How it works:

  • 6 Tabs with 40 slots each - that's up to 240 shared storage slots for your clan at launch!
  • Every tab must be purchased - even the first one. This is an investment that shows your clan means business.
  • Leader + Officers have full access: deposit, withdraw, view logs, and manage the bank.
  • All other members can view the bank and deposit items - great for contributing to the clan without worrying about theft.
  • Transaction logs are kept per-tab, so leaders can always see who deposited or withdrew what.
  • Real-time updates - if a clanmate deposits an item while you're viewing the bank, you'll see it instantly.
  • Items are stored exactly as deposited with auto-stacking across tabs.

Tab Unlock Costs

Tab Gold Cost Reputation Required
Tab 1 100M
Tab 2 250M Neutral (3,000+)
Tab 3 500M Recognized (6,000+)
Tab 4 1B Trusted (12,000+)
Tab 5 2.5B Esteemed (24,000+)
Tab 6 5B Legendary (45,000+) + Clan Vault Voucher

The Clan Vault Voucher is purchased from any Banker once your clan reaches Legendary reputation.

Clan Reputation System

To unlock the higher clan bank tabs, your clan will need to earn reputation with the Bankers of Gielinor - a brand new faction reputation system!

Reputation Tiers

Tier Total Rep Required
Distrusted 0 (starting)
Neutral 3,000
Recognized 6,000
Trusted 12,000
Esteemed 24,000
Legendary 45,000

How to Earn Reputation

Sacrificing Items to Bankers: Visit any Banker in Gielinor and sacrifice noted high-tier items to earn reputation for your clan. Items are consumed in batches - for example, 20 dragon bones equals 1 reputation point. Higher tier items are more efficient. Leftover items that don't fill a full batch stay in your inventory.

Accepted offerings include:

  • Bones: Dragon bones, Lava bones, Soul bones
  • Gems: Diamonds, Dragonstones
  • Ores & Bars: Adamantite, Runite
  • Logs: Yew, Magic
  • Fish (cooked): Swordfish, Shark, Manta ray, Turtle

Killing Bosses (Championing System): The cape you wear determines which faction receives reputation from boss kills - not the boss itself. Purchase the Cape of the Gielinor Bankers from any Banker at Neutral reputation for 25,000 gp, then wear it while slaying bosses.

Wilderness group bosses like Gorefang and Bonemaster award the most reputation per kill. God bosses also grant reputation. This championing system is built to expand for future factions and perks.

Your Clan's Journey

Your clan's reputation is shared - everyone contributes together towards the same goal. You can track your clan's reputation progress directly in the Clan Interface under the reputation tab. Whether you're sacrificing ores, slaying bosses, or pushing the wilderness, every clan member's effort counts!

Auction House Improvements

The Auction House has received a significant economy overhaul with the introduction of deposits and sale cuts.

Deposit System:

  • When listing an item, you now pay a deposit fee upfront based on the item's value and your chosen listing duration.
  • If your item sells, the deposit is refunded to you.
  • If your listing expires or is cancelled, the deposit is lost. This will discourage careless spam listings.

Listing Durations: You can now choose how long your listing stays active:

  • 24 hours - lowest deposit
  • 48 hours - medium deposit
  • 72 hours - highest deposit

Sale Cut: A small percentage is taken from every successful sale.

Gorefang & Bonemaster - Mob Tagging & Loot Rolling

Both of the wilderness group bosses have received an update!

Mob Tagging

The first player (or party) to hit the boss tags it for their group. Only the tagged group is eligible for loot - other players can still damage the boss, but they won't receive drops. You'll know if a boss is tagged by another group because the health bar will appear blue instead of the normal green.

If you're solo when you tag and join a party mid-fight, your party dynamically becomes eligible too. Up to 10 players from the tagged group can receive loot, as long as they're within range when the boss dies.

Loot Distribution

Loot is split into two categories:

Unique/Rare Drops - When a rare item drops, all eligible players receive a loot roll popup. You can Greed (roll for it), or Pass (skip it). Highest roll wins. If everyone passes, the item is voided.

Main & Supply Drops - These are distributed as ground items proportional to your damage contribution. Every eligible player is guaranteed at least 25% of the full loot quantity, so even if you dealt less damage, you're still rewarded for contributing.

Party & Raid System

To go along with this, we've updated the party system and also introduced a Raid system:

  • Parties support up to 5 members with XP sharing just like before.
  • Raids support up to 10 members - the leader can convert between party and raid mode. XP sharing is disabled in raids to prevent power-leveling.
  • Loot rolling is fully integrated - when a rare drop happens in a party or raid, everyone gets the roll UI automatically.

Performance & Infrastructure

A huge amount of work has gone into behind-the-scenes improvements that you may not see directly:

  • New dedicated server - Dynasty has moved to significantly stronger hardware.
  • Major infrastructure overhaul - We've restructured how our backend systems are organized, separating workloads across dedicated hardware for better performance and stability.
  • Optimized server performance - Various gameplay systems have been streamlined for better efficiency.

What's Next?

This update represents hard work and preparation - not just on the features you see, but a massive amount of behind-the-scenes architectural and infrastructure improvements to make Dynasty faster, more stable, and ready for what's coming next.

What's coming next? Slayer content! Starting next week, we'll begin rolling out the Krakens Cove update, followed by the Revenants Cave. So get ready!

We're very proud of this update and hope you enjoy everything that's new.
