Hallow's End: The Headless Horseman Rides Again

Hallow's End goes live on Thursday 29 October at 2PM US Eastern and runs until Monday 2 November.
Double XP and Grindland are active for the whole event!
The leaves are falling, the pumpkins are carved, and something has crawled out of the graveyard. Hallow's End is back on RSCDynasty, and this year it is bigger than ever. Last year's Pumpkin Reaper has been put to rest for good. In his place rides something far worse, and for the first time you will not need to hunt for a group to face him.
This update brings a brand new boss, a brand new way to find groups, a pile of new items, and a certain little doll who wants to play.
The Headless Horseman

Deep in his graveyard, the Headless Horseman waits for adventurers foolish enough to call him from the shrine. He is a full group boss built for five players, and he does not fight fair.
-
He loses his head, and keeps fighting. Knock it off and it flies around the graveyard on its own. Put it down before he gets it back, or the fight drags on.
-
Conflagration. He sets the ground ablaze. Don't stand in the fire.
-
Whirlwind. He spins into a storm of steel that hits everyone close to him.
-
Pulsing Pumpkins. He plants pumpkins around the graveyard. Leave them alone for too long and they hatch into Pumpkin Fiends that hunt down the nearest player.
Bring a tank to hold his attention, bring damage to bring him down, and bring plenty of food.
Requirements: 100 combat. Player killing mode accounts can't enter.
Introducing the Dungeon Finder

No more standing around asking for a group. The brand new Dungeon Finder builds one for you, and it is here to stay. The Headless Horseman is the first dungeon in it, but far from the last.
Click Dungeons under your minimap, next to World Map, to open it.
-
Pick your role. Tick Tank, Damage, or both. Tanks hold the boss's attention while the damage dealers bring it down.
-
Pick your dungeon. While Hallow's End is running, the Headless Horseman is right at the top of the list.
-
Click Find Group and carry on with whatever you were doing. You can queue from anywhere, even from the wilderness.
-
Watch your group fill up. A small queue timer appears at the top of your screen. Hover over it to see your group coming together, slot by slot. You can right-click drag it anywhere you like.
-
Enter the dungeon. When your group is ready, everyone gets 45 seconds to click Enter Dungeon. A ready check shows who is in. Once all five have accepted, you are teleported straight into the graveyard.
Queueing with friends
Already have a group? The party leader clicks Join as Party, and everyone in the party gets a quick role check to pick their role and confirm they are ready. The Dungeon Finder fills any empty spots with other players.
Officer Grir joins the Dungeon Finder
Officer Grir can now also be found in the Dungeon Finder, under Specific Dungeons. He needs 90 combat and 2 to 5 players.
Fair play
-
The wilderness is not an escape route. You can queue there, but you must be out of combat for 10 seconds before you can enter the dungeon.
-
Don't abandon your group. Leaving before the dungeon is finished gives you Deserter, which stops you from queueing for 30 minutes. If someone has already left, the group is no longer complete and everyone else may leave without it.
-
Vote kick. If someone is causing trouble, the group can vote to remove them.
-
Teleport in and out. You can leave the dungeon and come back for as long as your group is active.
-
One character per player. Only one of your characters can be queued for or inside the Headless Horseman at a time.
How a Run Works
Once inside the graveyard, head to the shrine to summon the Horseman.
-
Every player gets one summon per run. A full group of five can take him down five times.
-
When every summon is used, queue again for a fresh run and five more kills.
-
There is no daily limit. Run him as often as you like for as long as Hallow's End lasts.
The Horseman's Hoard

Every kill gives you a chance at:
-
Horseman's Blade - One-handed. 75 aim, 77 power, 2 magic. Requires 65 Attack.
-
Horseman's Helm - 42 armour, 2 power. Requires 60 Defense.
-
Ring of Fury - 4 power.
-
Ring of the Hunt - 5% damage & ranged accuracy.
-
Ring of Sorcery - 5 magic, 1% magic damage.
-
Magic Broomstaff - A rare broom.
-
Hallowed Helm - A rare pumpkin head, as collectable as any party hat.
-
Reaper Jr. - Last year's pet is back!
-
Horseman's Charger - The Horseman's very own steed, as a pet. Very rare!
All Hallow's End items are members items, and every one of them is tradable.
The Loot-Filled Pumpkin

Your first victory each day earns you a Loot-Filled Pumpkin, sent straight to your mailbox.
-
Always: a pile of coins, or a stack of useful supplies such as runes, ores, gems, logs, sharks and dragon bones.
-
Sometimes: a Magic lamp, an Elixir of the unknown, and an extra chance at Reaper Jr. or the Horseman's Charger!
The pumpkin is one per player each day, not one per character.
Chucky Has Come to Play

Michael Myers has finally hung up his mask. In his place, something small, giggling and armed with a kitchen knife is running loose in the wilderness.
-
Chucky appears at several places across the wilderness at once. Watch for the announcement, then go hunting.
-
Hunt them all down, and he will be back for more 15 to 30 minutes later.
-
Lost track of him? Type ::chucky to see how many are left and which wilderness levels they are on, or how long until he returns.
-
He's carrying a rare Chucky Mask. Bring it home if you can.
Watch your ankles.
Thank You
Good luck, stay together, and don't lose your head out there.
Happy Hallow's End from the RSCDynasty team!
